Week 1: Saturday 1st to Friday 7th July 2023
- Saturday 1st July, 5-5:30pm, Gay Pride and Disability Pride Afternoon Tea hosted by NADSN’s Prof Ashok Jashapara at Westminster Quaker Meeting House, 52 St Martin’s Lane, London, WC2N 4EA.
- The venue is wheelchair accessible and has a hearing loop
- This is a crossover event to celebrate the end of LBGT+ Pride Month in London and the beginning of Disability Pride Month. Just turn up!
- Tuesday 4th July, 6:30-8pm, Online* (MS Teams): NADSN Intersectional Round Table Discussion about Disability Pride on the theme of Pride, Joy & Belonging, including contributors from external organisations.
- Thursday 6th July, 12noon – 1:30pm, Online* (MS Teams): NADSN Disability Pride discussion on the theme of “Pride”.
Week 2: Saturday 8th to Friday 14th July 2023
- Wednesday 12 July, 12noon-2pm, Manchester The Ramblings of a Registered Blind AuDHD Rhino, A catered lunch followed by a talk from invited guest, Jamie Shields, founder of Disabled by Society. Manchester Metropolitan University Staff, students, and the general public are welcome to attend.
- Thursday 13 July, 12:30pm-2pm, Online (MS Teams): NADSN Disability Pride discussion on the theme of “Joy”.
- Friday 14 July, 6pm – 8pm University of Greenwich campus, Official launch of the Disability Pride Month Exhibition – Histories of Disability: The good and the great, the bad and the ugly.
- Please note – the minimum age of attendees is 16 due to some of the content of the exhibition.

Week 3: Saturday 15th to Friday 21st July 2023
- Thursday 20th July, 12noon-1:30pm, Online* (MS Teams): NADSN Disability Pride discussion on the theme of “Belonging”, closing of NADSN’s Disability Pride Festival. Includes a keynote presentation from NADSN’s Patron, Prof Anna Lawson.
- Saturday 20 July, 14:00 – 17:00 IST, Trinity College Dublin College Green.
- Disability Power Ireland are excited to announce that this Saturday, 22nd July, we will host Ireland’s first Disability Pride and Power Parade, in recognition of Disability Pride Month.
- Join us as we make ourselves visible on the streets of Dublin, in a colourful celebration open to all disabled people and allies.

All online sessions will be captioned. We apologise that BSL Interpreting is sadly not available this year due to budget constraints. We hope to be able to offer this in future.
Recordings:
We will be asking all presenters on Tuesday 4th July and Thursday 20th July to consent to recording so we can share the events afterwards for those who are unable to attend live.
The discussion events on 6th and 13th July will be summarised anonymously so that those who attend may speak freely and those who are unable to attend can still access key information from the discussions.
